Description

The Royal Messenger in Prontera runs a royal quest that trades rare materials for one of two top-tier rewards — the Balmung blade or the Lord Kaho's Horn headgear. This is an expensive high-end quest: on top of a pile of elemental components, each branch costs 1,000,000 zeny. You pick the reward up front, since the two branches need different materials. Gather everything beforehand — the NPC only hands over the item if you have it all in your inventory at once.

Walkthrough
  1. Go to the Royal Messenger in Prontera (158, 356) and pick "Listen" to hear about the royal quest.
  2. Choose your reward: "Balmung" or "Lord Kahos horns". The branches are separate and use different materials.
  3. For Balmung, prepare: 120 Steel, 10 Oridecon, 10 Rough Wind, 10 Flame Heart, 10 Mystic Frozen, 10 Great Nature, and 1,000,000 zeny.
  4. For Lord Kaho's Horn, prepare: 1 Green Feeler, 10 Star Dust, 10 Rough Wind, 10 Flame Heart, 10 Mystic Frozen, 10 Great Nature, and 1,000,000 zeny.
  5. Have everything plus the money in your inventory at once: the NPC immediately removes the materials and zeny and hands over the chosen item.
  6. If anything is missing, the NPC simply asks you to come back later — nothing is taken, so just finish gathering and return.
