Quest giver: Senior Crusader prt_castle
Description

Want to become a Crusader and prepare for the Holy War? The path runs through the Senior Crusader (Michael Halig) in Prontera Castle. First you need Swordman job level 40, then proof of your "calling" via a Chivalry Emblem and Hand of God, a gathering task, an endurance trial, a knowledge test, and a final battle. Pass it all and you earn the Crusader class.

Walkthrough
  1. With Swordman job level 40+ (and all skill points spent), talk to the Senior Crusader / Michael Halig in Prontera Castle (prt_castle 45,169). He only accepts Swordmen carrying a Chivalry Emblem and Hand of God, the sign of a "calling".
  2. If you lack the calling items, Michael sets a gathering task: bring 10 each of four monster drops from a randomly chosen set (one of three possible sets). Hand them in to clear the first stage.
  3. Head into the dungeon beneath the castle to the Man in Anguish / Murnak Mijoul (prt_castle 164,32). Equip a Rosary before the test, or he won't let you proceed.
  4. Take the endurance trial: you are warped into job_cru and must walk a corridor to the far end WITHOUT killing a single monster. Strike one and you fail; you may retry as often as you like.
  5. Find Gabriel Valentine in the Prontera Sanctuary and take the knowledge test: 10 questions (elements, cards, skills, monsters). Answer correctly; questions are drawn from a larger pool.
  6. Return to Prontera Castle to Bliant Piyord for the final battle test. He asks for 1 Holy Water to "purify" you before the fight; it is consumed.
  7. You are warped to a battle arena in job_cru where monsters spawn in waves (Mandragora, Flora and others) — defeat them all.
  8. With every trial passed, return to Michael Halig in Prontera Castle. He performs the job change — you are now a Crusader!
