The Monk job change is the second growth path for Acolyte (the 2-2 branch). To become a Monk you need an Acolyte at job level 40 or higher and plenty of patience: you face a material-gathering test, a spoken oath exam, an endurance trial, and a final combat maze. The whole journey takes place inside St. Capitolina Abbey (map prt_monk) under the guidance of the senior monks. Your reward is a close-combat weapon.
Guarding Monk named Tohobu. Give your name and job level and pick the answer 'I wish to become a monk'. He sends you to the teacher Moohae.
Sensei Moohae (monk_in 99,58). He gives a test: bring three kinds of materials (the set is randomly assigned). Gather everything from monsters and return; he takes the items and sends you to elder 
Touha.Touha (prt_monk 251,255). This is a spoken exam: first he recites a monk's oath, then you must repeat its phrases in the correct order. Pass it nearly flawlessly to move on.
Boohae offers one of two endurance trials: gather mushrooms (30 
Orange Net Mushroom or 30 
Orange Gooey Mushroom) in the shared hall, or run a marathon around the building. Pick either one and complete it.
Tomoon (monk_test 319,139) in the farthest room. He teleports you into a 'maze of spirits' — the final combat test: kill every monster in your path and reach the exit portal on the opposite side.Tomoon gives a 'secret potion' (it looks like a 
Green Potion). Return it to Sensei Moohae.
