Ayothaya Access

Quest giver: Powerful-Looking Woman Ayothaya
Description

Ayothaya is a cosy Thai-themed town with temple ruins in the east of Rune-Midgard. The only way there is by boat from Alberta: find the boatman Aibakthing on the pier and pay 10,000 zeny for the trip. Once in town, a local tale awaits you — the engagement ring quest given by the bossy lady Shuda.

Walkthrough
  1. Travel to Alberta, the port in the south-east of the mainland. You can reach it from Prontera via Izlude or by Kafra.
  2. On the eastern pier, find the boatman Aibakthing (alberta 247, 42). Choose "Go to Ayothaya".
  3. The trip costs 10,000 zeny. Carry the sum with you — otherwise the boatman refuses. After payment you are warped to Ayothaya (150, 65).
  4. Once in town, stroll along the waterfront and find the Powerful-Looking Woman — the lady Shuda (ayothaya 233, 105) by the water.
  5. Talk to her: her fiance Annon threw a ring into the water. Agree to help — Shuda asks you to dive in and fetch the ring.
  6. Step into the shallow water around her and fish (click the water) until an Engagement Ring drops. The chance is small, so be patient.
  7. Return the Engagement Ring to Shuda. She takes the ring and asks for one more favour — to track down the runaway Annon.
  8. To head back to Alberta, talk to the NPC Aibakthing (ayothaya 152, 68) — he warps you to the mainland for free.
  9. Beginner tip: the boat charges zeny each way, so plan your shopping and route in advance.
