Sizes
An enemy's size affects weapon efficiency: the size modifier multiplies base damage depending on weapon type. Matching weapons to target size is a cornerstone of pre-renewal builds.

Small size — tiny monsters (insects, formless, small humanoids). Daggers and bows deal full damage to them, while heavy two-handed weapons lose part of their output.
Best against Small: daggers, katars, bows.
Medium size — most humanoid monsters and players. The balanced case: spears and swords are especially effective here.
Best against Medium: spears, swords, musical instruments.
Large size — bosses, dragons and massive creatures. Two-handed swords, axes and shuriken hit them at full strength, while light weapons lose damage.
Best against Large: two-handed swords, axes, shuriken, firearms.
